Application Support Developer / DBA

We are looking for an Application Support Developer/DBA to join our organisation. As an imaging bureau our requirements have become more and more technically focused and we are now expanding our Database technical development and support capacity. Some domestic (and potentially international) travel will be required.

You will need to have a broad range of software and database development and maintenance skills. These will need to range from VB6 to VB.net and SQL Server DB Development and DBA Skills. You will need to have a good understanding of SDLC and be able to gather requirements, design, build and implementation. 

Technical Skills Required
• VB6 and VB.Net
• MS SQL Server 
• Website Development and maintenance
Knowledge of SharePoint development, SQL Reporting Development and SSIS Packages would be an advantage.

• Client facing understanding and attitude
• Self managing and ability to operate in autonomy
• Able to develop and interpret specifications, develop code and test throughout the development cycle
• Good interpersonal and communication skills (both internal and client-facing).
• Ability to understand the essential needs of users and meet these in well-designed solutions
• Broad understanding of technologies.
• Ability to demonstrate initiative.
