Desktop Imaging can work with you to extract:

Typed Text I Optical Character Recognition (OCR)

We can work with your contracts, books, technical journals and newspapers to convert them to editable documents that can be easily searched, or reused in new formats.

OCR conversion involves the use of computer software to translate images of type written text into machine-editable text. This conversion is performed after scanning and usually output to Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, CSV, or ASCII text files.

The advantage of using OCR conversion is to save time and cost by automatically converting paper documents into an editable format.

Handwriting  Intelligent Character Recognition (ICR)

Desktop Imaging can extract handwritten text e.g. names, addresses, card/ID numbers, from forms and documents for further use.

Stock takes & Surveys I Optical Mark Recognition (OMR)

We can automatically analyse forms using Optical Mark Recognition. This includes isolating information from one field (e.g. Male/Female) to selecting multiple fields of information for analysis.

Barcodes

We use over twelve barcode formats and can use multiple barcodes simultaneously to identify unique documents, recognise types of documents, extract metadata or determine document orientation.
