Features

The all-new Falcon™ combines OPEX’s innovative one-step drop feed scanning with the performance of a high-capacity production scanner, providing the only universal document scanning workstation on the market.

OPEX produces robust scanning and mail handling equipment. As well as selling and supporting OPEX equipment we also use it in our bureau – meaning we have the product knowledge to help you get the best out of your investment.

OPEX FalconThe OPEX Falcon allows operators to prep and scan documents at a faster rate than most current prep only processes. This significantly reduces costs associated with preparing documents for scanning. In addition, Falcon offers four versatile feeder options: drop-feeder, packet feeder, high-capacity feeder, and a unique Rescan Feeder.

Falcon scans everything from single sheets to multiple large stacks of paper intermixed. The Falcon conveyor can hold more than 700 pages at any given time, allowing maximum throughput and uninterrupted processing. From thick paper to onion skin and fragile or damaged pieces, from envelopes and file folders to receipts, to small forms and business cards – nearly any style or type of document can be scanned!

Our Experience

“In the bureau, the OPEX Falcon will significantly increase our throughput, while maintaining our renowned quality standards.

We are seeing more demand for colour scanning and an increase in scanning of legacy records. Often these records are on poor stock (e.g onion paper!) and require a lot of colour to get a good image.

The OPEX scanners can handle poor quality paper very well and maintain a higher colour throughput than our current fleet of scanners”.

Braden Rowe, Director at Desktop Imaging Ltd.

Minimizing prep, paper handling, and other manual tasks not only improves efficiency, but also results in superior document integrity. Documents are handled once and converted to image. As documents are scanned, operators can view images in real-time to ensure proper capture and identification. This reduces time-consuming and costly rescans later in the process.

OPEX’s feature-rich CertainScan software is the perfect complement to Falcon providing auto-classification and the most intuitive way to visually classify documents as they are scanned. The versatility of this platform allows users to maximize the many features of their OPEX scanner and minimize the preparation of documents prior to scanning.
